Mr. McKee has been working hard to get the planter boxes braced, and while shoveling soil, these guys took a break to do some worm hunting.


Bri found all kinds of bugs in the other planter box.



There are so many things to discover in the garden!


The Garden is really starting to take its permanent shape.

This Planter Box has served us well! Here is a video of us building it.

But, out with the old, in with the new. We continued to take apart the old planter box.

We must be careful out here, speeeiders are all around!

Now it's really coming together! A big thanks again to Mrs. Herrera for the shelves!

We finished the next set of boxes, then Angel and Bri tied up the bundles of root pouches. After we were done with those, we put on the next shelf and continued to build vertically.


As I was looking at the shelves, I realized that the boxes should go up high because they rarely get used. The bottom and middle shelves have easy access, so the wood scraps should go there. See the next picture.

Week 12 Projects

Some students are really learning a lot about building and how things work. Here is Jesus working on a 2-level bench.

Mrs. Herrera gave us some shelves, and they will be a great place to store our Root Pouches and our extra wood scraps. We will build some drawers to hold the pouches, and this way we can maximize the storage space. Here are the plans:


Here are the shelves and the first box being built and tested.





It looked good so we made 3 of them.


Then we put the next level of shelving up.

C-Train Storage Phase 8

Our C-Train Storage is mixing nicely with our Garden Renovation Phase 1 and Phase 2. The C-Train Storage should soon turn into C-Train Operations, and the Garden will not have many more renovations. We are getting the groundwork set for production and creation, and I think we are all excited about it!
 We now have shelves that will hold Root Pouches and extra project wood.
