End of Week 16

Monday is a Minimum Day.

We will be making Ice Cream on Wednesday!

Questions:

  • How long does it take to make a batch?
  • What time will the ice cream be ready to eat?
  • How many people can be served with a batch?
  • How many people are going to eat the ice cream?

We found out what is eating our strawberries. It is the Roly-Pollies!

All this time we thought they were harmless!

But they turned out to be a "wolf in sheep's clothing".

Jesus cut out a very good circle:

Here is what it would look like if you were Ant Man watching Josh spray off the concrete slab.

Did we grow this watermelon in our garden?

Jesus found a Walking Stick!

This is what it would look like if you were Ant Man and Isaac was going to step on you.

Here is what it would look like if you were Ant Man and Dante was going to step on you.

This cut won't work. Can you tell why?

This is a good cut.

Jesus made a fidget tool with skateboard bearings and zip ties. The planter box is in the background.

Isaac and Austin are putting screws into the wood. They are building a planter box.

Angel is watering the bell pepper plants. Sal is helping him with the hose.

End of Week 15

This week we just got back from Spring Break.

On Tuesday, we went for a walk.
Here are some photos from the walk:

On the walk, I found a snail and a grasshopper, so I took a photo of each one. Here is the grasshopper:

Over Spring Break, I was discussing KanBan Boards with a computer programmer (my brother-in-law). He told me that his company prioritizes tasks according to their level of difficulty using the Fibonacci Sequence. Here is a picture of that sequence: Click the picture to read more about the Fibonacci Number Sequence

Interestingly, here is a picture of a snail:

Now look at this drawing:

We need to remove the old tomato planter box. We were so happy when we put it in, but out with the old, in with the new!

Transporting Soil

The 3 new planters are nicely lined up!

Everyone's working!

Protective gear and pitchforks.

Manly stuff: Spittin' and swappin' lies.

Cuttin' PVC

We are pulling apart the old planter box.
